We are currently looking for a Jr. Bid Developer to work in Cisco's Proposal Experts group; the Jr. Bid Developer supports Sales Account Teams in the Enterprise or the Service Provider sales organizations in the development of RFP & RFI responses and unsolicited customer proposals. In this fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere, this professional must be able to work effectively with sales account teams and lead cross-functional virtual proposal response teams. In this very exciting role you will have a great opportunity to shape and influence some of Cisco's most important customer proposals and work with key individuals across the company.


• Manage RFP & RFI responses and unsolicited customer proposals.
• Work closely with account teams and sales management to determine strategic direction and key messaging of responses.
• Writing, editing and reviewing proposal content for message, logic, and impact.
• Obtain all needed executive approvals for non-standard commitments.
• Maintaining accurate records of each proposal for detailed reporting.
• Ensure all proposals are produced and submitted on-time with high quality and in accordance with all Cisco standards.
• Articulates clear, strong ideas and has established methods for organizing content, and crafting a message.
• Ability to organize and lead cross-functional teams to develop proposal strategy and response; ability to motivate and negotiate.
• Strong sensitivity to deadlines and meeting goals, preferably in a deadline-driven environment.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision required.
• Ability to impact and influence.
• Above average skill with Microsoft software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).


• Knowledge of proposal development and RFP/RFI processes.
• Understanding of the IP Communications market is a plus.
• Ability to envision the big picture while simultaneously paying close attention to details is required.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to motivate the team to maintain a strong sense of urgency and consistently produce high quality work is absolutely essential.
• Solid understanding of Cisco's products, solutions and services is an advantage.
• Previous experience developing content and messaging for proposals, presentations and collateral material is an advantage.
• Knowledge of MS Visio, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Photoshop preferred.
• Knowledge of Rich-Media solutions is an advantage.
• Global multi-culture work experience a strong advantage.
• BA or BS in Marketing, English, Business, or related.
