Position Summary

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for receiving, inspecting and warehousing of incoming goods. Responsible for supplying and receiving raw materials and work orders for the plant and for receiving finished goods into inventory. This position keeps the warehouse clean and organized and accurate

Responsibilities

• Receiving and inspecting incoming ingredients and raw materials
• Stocking warehouse according to company inventory system
• Picks raw material work orders for the plant
• Returns completed raw material and ingredient work orders back to warehouse
• Cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory
• Keeps warehouse tidy and organized
• Helps with all other warehouse functions when needed
• Other responsibilities may be assigned consistent with the skills required for the job


Qualifications and Skills

Education / Skill: Grade 12. Good spoken and written English. Very high level of accuracy. Understanding of impact of errors. Detail oriented, good record keeping skills. Good organizational skills. Reliable

Experience: Warehouse experience in a manufacturing or food environment is an asset

Communications Skills: Good communicator and listener. Must me able to work with all departments.

Effort: This position requires prolonged physical effort. Concentrated periods of standing, manual dexterity, lifting and attention to detail. Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time in an environment with frequent interruptions.

Working Conditions: Plant conditions prevail. Generally good. Cool temperatures required in production process. The seasonality of the business requires overtime and extra shifts in the fall, resulting in work pressure.
