Director of HR

enthusiastic, and community oriented Director of HR to build the organization towards its next

As the Director of HR, your responsibility will be codifying a vibrant community culture. You'll

Reporting to: President
Location: Downtown Toronto
Salary Range: Commensurate with industry norms and experience
Responsibilities
? Develop an annual agenda for HR strategy based on a community-oriented, collegial
company culture, in line with the business plan
? Implement HR policies & programs as created in tandem with the President
? Act as main point of contact for job orders from all company departments, including
recruiting and screening interviews.
? Build recruiting systems to create an ongoing pool of candidates suitable for filling
seasonal & high turnover roles
? Work closely with the Director of Sales to standardize hiring processes
? Lead training for Trip Leaders and other seasonal, on trip staff
? Review training infrastructure across all departments, identifying weaknesses and
designing and implementing new procedures as appropriate
? Act as a representative of the employees, building managerial skills and other personal
development as appropriate
? Manage and execute internal skills development, involving guest speakers, workshops,
and other training as appropriate
? Manage information and data regarding holidays, training hours, volunteer hours, etc.
? Act as primary point of contact for compensation, benefits, performance reviews, and
dispute resolution
? Provide company wide communications and manage social committees
? Ensure employee safety, wellness, welfare, health and happiness
? Manage company charity and sponsorship policies and procedures

? Create an internal HR department following an agency model, subcontracting to other
departments

? Execute ongoing internal and external training, empowering continual education
? Building a strong on boarding process for new employees, including the coordination of
initial training in company culture and technology tools, as well as job shadowing with
organizational peers
? Develop further focus on the intern program, including transition into full-time employees
? Recruiting Customer Service, Sales and Destination staff to prepare for the Operational
seasons.
