full time Temple Administrator (Thornhill)

Kol Ami is a dynamic and vibrant synagogue that is looking for an equally enthusiastic Temple Administrator. The key focus of this role is to administer and execute operational activities of the synagogue. This full time position involves working directly with congregational members, synagogue staff and board members.


- Membership administration and communication
- Participation in the planning and coordination of synagogue activities
- Administration of ritual, worship and lifecycle events within a Reform Jewish context
- Manage office expenses and supplier contracts
- Facility booking and management
- Supervise administrative staff


- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with particular strength communicating over the phone
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong problem solving skills and initiative
- General financial and budgeting knowledge. Bookkeeping skills a plus.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Constant Contact) and familiarity working with databases
- Familiarity with the function of a synagogue and strong knowledge of Jewish ritual and customs

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
