Trailer Wizards is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our growing head office team in Mississauga. Our company has people and customers across Canada and it will be up to you to keep the IT Infrastructure healthy with consistent and predictable performance. This position is responsible for configuring, installing, integrating, administering and maintaining our IT infrastructure. The support is for a midsize, national network environment consisting of 20+ sites requiring 24x7x365 uptime.
You will help manage the deployment of network infrastructure including, but not limited to Microsoft Servers, Cisco Voice/Video Conferencing, endpoints and infrastructure, QOS configuration, Firewall management, Route point testing, Network stress testing and DMVPN deployment and management. Your days will be busy but provide lots of variety as you monitor and maintain network related equipment, and collaborate closely within the IT team in the delivery and maintenance of quality operational services. When you are not busy with hands-on activities you will be researching, evaluating and recommending new tools and technologies to help define the company's expansion, growth and opportunity strategies.
We want to hear from you if you have an advanced degree and/or accreditation in computer engineering, information technology or computer science paired with 3+ years of progressive experience in information, computer and networking technologies coupled with Microsoft and / or Cisco certifications.
You must be a great communicator, problem solver, and most importantly, know your stuff! Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are a must. You are a self starter and work well independently and as a team member. Demonstrated project management capability and a customer service focus are important as we are growing fast and want to be on the cutting edge. You are an individual who is motivated, detail oriented, and an excellent problem solver. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to anticipate workflow, prioritize and follow through on tasks to completion. Candidates must be able to travel within Canada, carry a mobile device, provide afterhours support and occasionally be on-site afterhours.
