Our client, a growing and successful software company is looking for a Network/ System Administrator on a full time basis.

The Network/ Sytems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.

JOB DUTIES
• Support and resolve helpdesk tickets
• Administration and maintenance of Windows Servers, Exchange, BES
• Provide support for workstations, laptops and any smartphone devices
• Provide support for remote (VPN) users
• Work with vendors for obtaining quotes and procurement of IT related equipment (e.g. Dell)
• Provide support for any local networking issues, including Wi-Fi connections
• Administration of Domain's Group Policy and login scripts
• Support and maintain Blackberry Enterprise Server
• Administration of Blackberry devices and support for other smartphones
• Backing up of servers and workstations, including creating images for critical backups
• Administration and maintenance of Microsoft Exchange Server
• Installation of software on Servers, desktops, and laptops
• Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
• Provide other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.

REQUIREMENTS
• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Two years' experience in end user support is required. Experience in a technical support role is preferred.
• Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools, and reporting software.
• Exceptional oral and written communication
• Good phone etiquette and the ability to diffuse agitated situations.
• Solid experience with Exchange and BES as well as familiarity with VMware required
• Expertise in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Basic hardware troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service attitude
• Ability to collaborate with a variety of personalities and skillsets, and improve the quality of IT processes, services and products
• Excellent organizational abilities and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate effectively and professionally under pressure
• Self-motivated with a strong aptitude and desire to learn
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Desktop/laptop/network troubleshooting skills.
• Successfully perform job duties in accordance with defined procedures and with limited supervision
