Our client is excited to expand their Maintenance Team with Industrial Electricians & Industrial Millwrights for their Toronto manufacturing facility & their Mississauga facility.
The Toronto operation is 24/7 & the Mississauga operation has both a 2 & 3 shift operations running 5 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES – Skilled Trades – Report directly to the Maintenance Manager & Team Leader – Must hold a current Industrial Electricians or Industrial Millwrights license valid in Ontario – Ability to work a continental 12-hour shift rotation schedule in Toronto, which includes 2 weeks days & 2 weeks nights (14 shifts a month) & must be able to work 8-hour shifts which can include days, afternoons & nights – Must have a strong mechanical aptitude & ability to troubleshoot – Electricians must have an ability to work with & trouble shoot PLC’s (Allen-Bradley, Omron, Siemens) – Ability to work with AC/DC Drives – Ability to read Ladder Logic Diagram (Electricians) – Must be able to perform a variety of skilled functions utilizing welding, fabrication, troubleshooting, basic electrical & solid mechanical expertise – Must be able to prevent equipment failure through analysis, parts replacement & care of machinery by means of an approved maintenance program – Must be able to repair any machinery breakdowns in the shortest possible time & make an analysis of the failure to determine the reason & prevention of a future similar breakdown – Must be able to construct pieces of equipment & machine parts from blueprints &/or broken parts – Must be able to work closely with machine operators to identify & analyze minor problems, taking corrective action in order that they do not develop into larger problems – Must be able to participate in the installation of entirely new or relocated lines with regard to piping, air equipment, water & hydraulics – Must be able to ensure proper fit & operation of machine parts & meeting specifications – Must be able to immediately notify the Maintenance Manager if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding safety procedures – Must be able to continually meet company housekeeping & safety requirements, to identify & report any safety hazards within the plant, meet all WHMIS objectives & standards ensuring that all safety procedures are met – Must be able to conduct any general duties, specific projects & responsibilities as assigned or required by the Maintenance Manager in a timely & professional manner – Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical related machine problems & work alongside with the other maintenance & production team members to ensure uptime & limit downtime – Ability to do electrical construction including bending conduit, new installations & panel building (Electricians) – Must understand & work to the regulations under the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (Electricians) – Experience in a high speed manufacturing environment is a key asset – Ability to learn quickly & verbally communicate effectively
