POSITION: Information Technology and Software Support

RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Operations

JOB SUMMARY: Oversees, manages and keeps operational all communication and information technology including all computer hardware, networks, internet connections, printers, copiers, phone systems, and software support.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: – Minimum of a Bachelors degree or College diploma required, with emphasis on computer related studies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: – Three to five years of Information technology, computer hardware and software platform’s. – Proven IT experience: Managing and “troubleshooting” hardware, software and networks – Experience with Windows Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft SQL. – Experience with Internet applications, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access. – Experience with working independently – Possesses a “can-do” attitude – Shows initiative and a willingness to adopt to change – Neat and professional appearance – Able to handle staff questions, problems, concerns regarding computer / software issues. – Able to handle stressful situations – Able to work flexible, and sometimes, long hours

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Hardware Support – Oversee, manage, recommend and implement computer hardware solutions that are required to meet the business concerns of the company and all clinic locations. – Oversee, manage, recommend and implement peripheral technology solutions that are required to meet the business concerns of the company and all clinic locations. – Current peripheral technology solutions include, but not limited to: printers, faxes, phones, scanners and portable communication devices.

Network Administration – Oversee, manage, recommend and implement network connectivity solutions for the company networks within and between each clinic location – Oversee, manage, recommend and implement network security solutions that will protect the the company network from both outside incursions such as viruses – Oversee and troubleshoot franchisee network connectivity issues, including but not limited to the VPN connections to head office

Database Administration – Oversee, manage, recommend and implement MS SQL database solutions for each clinic that meet the company’s business requirements – Oversee, manage, recommend and implement database integrity, backup and security solutions

Website Administration – Oversee, manage and recommend website solutions for all company websites

Office Operations – Oversee, manage, recommend and implement information technology solutions that ensure the office runs smoothly and clinic services are not compromised by information technology issues; check with personnel for hardware and software issues on a regular basis – Manage relationships with necessary information technology and service providers including, but not limited to the web page designer, marketing designers, and software designers to solve problems, install updates, assess network stability/connectivity or hardware needs, and request customized reports and services – Collate and summarize cosmetic caller/client statistics for each call/encounter – Perform all other information technology and office related tasks pertaining to the operation of SpaMedica and franchisee clinics.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS – The position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.

Flexible work hours, as normally associated with an Information Technology position, within an office environment; as defined and agreed upon in an employment contract
